Local firmware update of SPH inverter to version YBAA050510
(Below is shown for the version YBAA050510, which is current at the time of writing)
The first step is to connect a USB flash drive to the PC and format it to FAT32 format.
If the flash drive is not in FAT32 format, you must format the drive - navigate to the specific flash drive, right click -> format and select FAT32.
After verifying or formatting the flash drive to FAT32 format, you need to upload the appropriate files to the flash drive to perform the update - the files can be downloaded at the end of this article. Specifically, the following files:
- BCONFIG
- YBAA-05xxxx
- YBAA-xx05xx
- ZDAA_0010
View the uploaded files on the flash drive:
Performing a local firmware update
- Eject the datalogger from the inverter
- Insert a flash drive with the firmware loaded into the inverter instead of the datalogger.
- Wait about 5-10 minutes for the update to complete.
Update progress on the inverter display
- When updating individual files, a red LED always flashes on the inverter and the display shows the message "Programming" and the name of the corresponding file
- After successful uploading of the relevant part of the firmware, "Program OK!" appears on the inverter display. Caution! This step must be performed 3 times (because a total of three files are uploaded). If this is not the case, the firmware will not be updated correctly and the whole process must be repeated.
Checking the firmware on the inverter display
- Go to the main menu (press ESC twice)
- Find FW Version: YA1.0 and press OK
- The inverter firmware version is displayed
